2 Years and Still Going!

2 years ago on  April 25, 2011, I started writing this Blog. It’s hard to believe that I have been doing it this long, but I guess it’s true when they say —“Time flies when you’re having fun!”

I want to thank everyone who continues to read, comment, and subscribe to the site.  Knowing that this is making a difference and helping contractors is what keeps me going and posting as well as the many comments I have received on the various posts.

Some interesting stats for all of you:  As of today, there have been 43,471  views of the various posts that are on the site.  There are 119 subscribers who get any new post via email as soon as it is published.  The site has been viewed in over 128 countries around the world. This post is number 136 — a little more than 1 post a week.

These figures really humble me.  When I started this, I did it mostly for the local contractors who are part of the York Central Supply family, never knowing or realizing that this would take off the way it has. My source for inspiration is still the contractor / technician who is out there working every day.  With all the new technology and changes in our industry, I really admire all of you for the fact that you try to keep up with all of this.  It is your questions to me that inspire my posts — trying to explain and provide the information you are looking for. Believe it or not, I learn new stuff too from some of the topics / questions  — like my series on BACnet that I had received requests for information about.  I knew enough to be dangerous but, after researching the topic, I learned a lot and feel a lot more comfortable in dealing with it and hope I made it easier for all of you to understand also.

As long as I feel I am making a difference and providing valuable information to all of you who read this, I will continue to write and post on this site. I look forward to starting the 3rd year for this site.  I do welcome all comments and suggestions.

In closing, All I can do is say  THANK YOU!

Awsome finger

About yorkcentraltechtalk

I have been in the HVAC industry most of my life. I worked 25 years for contractors on anything from residential to large commercial boilers and power burners. For the past 23+ years I had been employed by York International UPG Division ( a division of Johnson Controls) as a Technical support/Service Manager but I am now retired. One of my goals has always been to "educate" dealers and contractors. The reason for starting this blog was to share some knowledge, thoughts, ideas, etc with anyone who takes the time to read it. The contents of this blog are my own opinions, thoughts, experiences and should not be construed as those of Johnson Controls York UPG in any way. I hope you find this a help. I always welcome comments and suggestions for postings and will do my best to address any thoughts, questions, or topics you may want to hear about. Thanks for taking the time to read my postings! No, thank you! Please keep doing what you are doing. Just as you do, I learn each and every day in this occupation. I learn by reading your blogs, other blogs, The news, etc…. I am a student of HVACR. No matter how many years you have you should always consider yourself a student as it is just that much to learn in our challenging field of HVACR. Thanks and have a great 3rd year!
